It is known that people with cancer may experience muscle loss, which can be detrimental to their health.
Adequate protein intake can prevent muscle loss, but the amount of protein people with cancer should consume is not known. PRIMe Study's goal is to set recommendations for protein intake that can help people with cancer maintain a healthy weight and muscle mass.
PRIMe is an exciting study at the University of Alberta where different amounts of protein intake will be tested.
Joining this study is entirely voluntary. If you are interested in participating or have additional questions, please talk to your doctor.
If you received the PRIMe Study's Brochure at your doctor's office and want to learn more about the study, please contact us.
