Healthy Pulled Pork Recipe
Using a lean cut of pork, learn how to make this 3 ingredient recipe for a healthy, high protein meal to please all! Pulled pork is a favorite for many Canadians because it has a great flavor but a melt-in-your-mouth texture. See our modified recipe which keeps the flavors of this classic meal but reduces the fat and sugar content that is often associated with traditional pulled pork.
You will need:
- 1 boneless pork loin
- Diet Root Beer
- Low sugar BBQ sauce (4 g of sugar or less per serving)
- Large slow cooker
This recipe works great in soft-shell tacos or as an open-faced sandwich, garnished with a pickle or lettuce leaf. Tastes great with a side of coleslaw!
